Just a reminder that the Democratic Club will meet on Monday August 18th at Petruzzi's in the Wildewood Plaza.

Our guest will be Delegate Sue Kullen from Calvert County. Sue will be talking about the Statewide Obama campaign and efforts and activities in Southern Maryland! Please tell a friend and join us on the 18th!

The Democratic Club will meet on Monday July 21, 2008 at Petruzzi's in the Wildewood Plaza. Informal dinner at 6:00 and the meeting will begin at 7:00. Denise Riley, the MD/DC Political Director of the AFL-CIO will be our speaker.
She will discuss the AFL-CIO's Turn Around America Campaign. It includes the Economy That Works for All, Health Care for All, and the Employee Free Choice Act.

Mr. Rick Tarr, the Solid Waste and Recycling Mangager for St. Mary's County will be our guest speaker. Rick will discuss programs in the county with a focus on the three "Rs" -- Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse. I hope you will join us on the 19th and learn more about what is happening in St. Mary's County!

The office of the Club President and Club Treasurer are up for reelection. The current President, Cindy Slattery, and current Treasurer, Debi Brooks, have indicated their desire to serve another term. At the December meeting a request for a nominating committee was made.

ARTICLE I – NAME
 
The name of this Club shall be The Democratic Club of St. Mary’s County.
 
ARTICLE II – PURPOSE
 
The purpose of this Club is to:
 
• unite members of the Democratic Party in St. Mary's County for the common cause and good of the party;
